If you have a piece of clothing with reddish-brownish stains that won’t come off in the wash, it’s probably rust stains. You can try everything (or so it seems) with these stains and they just don’t budge. I used to throw our clothes out with rust stains (until I discovered this easy trick, that is)

Rust stains can be treated and completely removed by a combination of 2 simple household ingredients and a little help from our biggest star.

Depending on the stain’s size, it may take a few days in the sun to be completely gone. But don’t worry. It’s not going to take much of your time, as you just need to treat it and leave it -returning once or twice a day to make sure the lemon hasn’t dried completely.

Squeeze lime or lemon on to the stain and cover with salt. Leave in the direct sunlight on the windowsill, balcony or where ever you have sunlight.

Step 3

Keep adding lime and (if necessary) salt to the stain until all the rust stains are gone. It could take up to 48-72 hours depending on the size of the stain.

Step 4

Wash as usual and the stain is gone. Simple and works every time.
